Folate is a B vitamin that helps create new cells and is associated with heart health and preventing birth defects. Now it has also been linked to keeping your hearing sharp. A recent study published in The Journal of Nutrition found that people with low levels of folate in their blood had a 37 percent increased risk of hearing loss with age. Find folate in green leafy veggies, chickpeas, and lentils.
